Breast augmentation procedures cover a significant part of breast aesthetic operations which are very important for women. Breast augmentation can increase the size, shape and fullness of a woman’s breast and ensure a different aesthetic appearance. Breast augmentation surgery, which is one of the most applied aesthetic operations in the world, is preferred by many women in our country.
Regardless of nationality, religion, culture or age group, appearance is important for a woman. Especially the breasts, a symbol of femininity, are very important for the external appearance of the female body. Small breasts or breasts with deformities are often perceived as a major problem by women. Women who want to solve this problem apply different methods because the cost of breast augmentation surgery is high or because they are afraid of having surgery. Women who want to enlarge their breasts use various oils, herbal cures and creams that they have heard about secondhand. However, these methods pose a serious health risk and are not effective in breast augmentation.
Can some medications be effective for breast augmentation?
We must first understand the structure of the breast to comprehend this. Breasts are composed of two different tissues, namely fat and milk glands. In order to enlarge the breasts without surgery, one of these two tissues needs to grow. During pregnancy and lactation due to hormones, women’s breasts grow because the milk glands are full.
Some hormone medicines can be used for breast augmentation because the hormones enable breasts to grow. However, these drugs are extremely risky. When used insensibly, these drugs can cause uterine cancer or breast cancer. Therefore, breast augmentation with hormones is not recommended.
Sometimes when women gain weight their breasts also become fuller. This is because the fat glands in the breast become fuller as they gain weight. However, this is not a healthy method. How are non-surgical breast augmentations carried out?
Non-surgical breast augmentation includes in a number of clinical applications. In non-surgical breast augmentation operation, a filler is placed underneath the breast. Local anesthesia is applied in this operation which is completed between 30 – 60 minutes so that the person performing the operation is not exposed to the side effects of general anesthesia. In this application, the breast is entered at a certain point with a nozzle and filler is injected into the breast. At the end of the operation, the person who underwent the procedure does not feel any discomfort and the effect of the filler in breast augmentation is immediately apparent. No scars are formed on the breasts.
The filler used in breast augmentation is aquafilling, a hydrophilic gel with a three-dimensional molecular structure. Aquafilling, a synthetic linear polyamide, is a 0.9% physiological solution of sodium chloride solution and is similar to the salt water in the Matrix.
